Hello Winnebago!
After a few good seasons with our Keystone Hideout, we decided it was time to upgrade. After a bunch of research and dizzying comparisons, we landed on the Winnebago Minnie Plus 27BHSS. This rig was the exact combination of features and design we were looking for with very few compromises.
The flipped floor plan, I call it the “L”, was very attractive to us. It changed it up enough to make it feel like something totally different. This floorplan is available from several manufacturers and for a variety of reasons, we went with the Winnebago. One of the major things that set Winnebago apart was the cargo carrying capacity (CCC). Other manufacturers simply did not have good capacity and were actually suggesting that we travel without water in the tanks to address the issue. If you can’t travel with water, why is there a tank…
When we upgraded to the Keystone from the Jayco, it addressed several issues for us. Now the Winnebago is doing the same thing for us. While the Keystone was a solid trailer and we had no real problems with it, there were a few items that were wearing on us. Here are some of the key things that caught our eye on the Winnebago 27BHSS:
- Less brown
- Larger fridge
- More seating
- Bunk ladder
- Single tank dump port
- Better thermostat placement
- Flush mount stove with cover
- Under mount sink with covers
- I could keep going…
We are excited to get out on some great adventures with our new home on wheels…
